On a blustery April morning, Earth Conservancy joined the Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s Northeast Regional Office to plant fourteen trees at EC’s Espy Run wetlands. The trees will help reforest lands around the wetlands, prevent soil erosion, and provide animal habitat. Pin Oak and Maple were chosen for their tolerance of wet ground, and their eventual deep root systems. The trees were provided through funding received by PEC for local reforestation efforts.
